My Little Parkette!

On April 5th, Liam was invited to attend Morgan's 3rd birthday party at the Parkettes in Allentown. Jon and I took him and we all had a blast! I couldnt believe how much my little boy is growing up! He did things without needing to hold my hand, and even jumped into a foam pit without me! Here is a picture of Jon and Liam participating in a giant parachute activity!

This is the foam pit, Liam loved it! All the kids got to jump and crawl around in it, even though I was having thoughts of a foot to the head, all was well and the kids had a ball!

This picture was taken immediatly after my son held onto a rope swing and swung into a foam pit! All by himself!!! I was super excited that he did it all on his own and wasnt even scared!

Here is Liam with some of his little friends, waiting directions on how to play safely in the foam pit. Looks like ADD runs in the family, I dont really think he was listening to the women!

Wherever there is a slide, there will be Liam!

The trampoline was great fun! Liam did a good job of it and jumped all on his own!

It was a fun experience to go to Liam's first birthday party out somewhere! We had cake and pizza afterwards. I am looking forward to many more friends birthdays!

A Hippo at an Aquarium ?

Liam and I had never been to an Aquarium so Jon thought it would be a good idea to go! And he was right!! We got up early one Saturday morning and made our way down to Camden. Liam was very excited to see all the fishies and was great for the ride down! Once we got there we were both amazed! I have never heard him say WOW so many times

While we were there, Jon and Liam stopped for a silly picture!

This picture was taken right after Liam touched a real live jellyfish!! I couldnt believe he actually reached down and touched it! I knew that after a 2 year old did it, that meant Mommy had to do it as well! Liam was so excited, although his excitment did not carry over to the baby sharks or sting rays. Perhaps he has been told of the demise of Mr. Irwin.

Starfish seemed much more touchable for Liam and he was eager with some encouragement to reach his hand into the chilly water! His face lit up everytime he saw a new fishie!

There was an outdoor section of the zoo that held the sea lions and the adorable little tuxedo wearing penguins! There was a turtle statue outside and even though Liam had been afraid of the real sea turtles inside the Aquarium, this one suited him much better!

Oh No!!! Liam has been eaten by a shark! I was suprised when he actually let me put him in this sharks mouth!

This was outside the Aquarium by the river. It was beautiful and Liam loved looking at the boats in the water!

It was such a nice day we took the long way walking back to the car, and decided to stop at a cute little pub across the street. It was called the Victor, and it was in the old RCA Victor building. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the old stained glass in the tower of the building, it was adorned with a picture of that cute little white puppy! Liam had a great time running around on the patio outside, and only fell once! It was a wonderful day, and it was awesome to see Liam so excited over all the fish we saw!

MONSTER

Liam has been a MONSTER all day long!! It actually started last night, he did not want to go to bed! I figured if I kept him up a little later he would let me sleep in on my Sunday morning! Mind you sleeping in would be 8am. Oh how I would love to sleep until 8am! So he went to bed around 10pm, yep I said 10. That was my first mistake. So then came 6am, his usual wake up time during the week. Yea well my second mistake came when I thought someone had told Liam that it was the weekend and he could sleep in. So 6 am we were up. We had alot of running around to do and were out most of the day. I am surprised Jon has not run away after today. Liam was screaming at the top of his lungs in the Lowes paint department. Third mistake when he asked so lovingly if he could "Pwease" get down (down meaning out of the cart with the firmly secure strap). I agreed. Bad idea. I think he may have a future as an Olympic sprinter. I will have to look into it. So anyway, by the time we got home this afternoon to watch our new movie (Open Season), Liam was a complete utter MONSTER!! He started with the rearranging of his kitchen. He apparently did not think that the kitchen gadgets and food needed to be IN the kitchen. They did much better all over the floor outside of the kitchen.
Then came the "toy corner" of the living room. This is a sort of joke considering my whole apartment is taken up by Liam's toys and books. One day a few months ago, Liam and I had gone out and purchased a toy shelf, adorned with Thomas the train of course. It was a wonderful idea and a good way to store all the little silly toys that he doesnt really play with anyway! It fits nicely in the toy corner and is usually not touched. Well today we had a MONSTER on our hands, so today the toy shelf with all its glorious bins did not stay in its proper place. I was in the kitchen putting away dinner as Jon did the dishes. It was then that we heard the mayhem begin. Toys were flying left and right as bins of toys were being dumped for no apparent reason! It was complete horror, straight out of a scary movie! Very MONSTER like if you ask me!

When all the smoke had cleared, it became quite obvious that all Liam was looking for was the little cookie monster car. How fitting a monster looking for a monster. And of course I should have known that this is all he was looking for, he just wanted to rearrange in the process! The mess is still there, I have not even attempted it yet. I have decided it is time to go through and donate all the little toys he does not play with!

He was so happy sitting on the bin holding up his little blue Cookie Monster car! And who could resist such a little handsome boy?

And when its all said and done, and the MONSTER is sleeping, I can sit and look at the pretty flowers he got for me the other day for no reason other than he is the best little boy in the world, MONSTER or not!

Zak + Liam = TROUBLE!

Liam loves his kitchen set. Zak feels the same admiration for it as well! On this play date however they decided that completely ripping the thing apart would be much more fun than making a simple cup of coffee or frying an egg!

The kitchen set apparently needed some fixing! Or they just wanted to see exactly how it was put together and climbing onto the counter was very necessary! Marla and I were in the kitchen (my kitchen, aka the real kitchen) getting the boys dinner, and when we turned around, this is what we found! They immediately started to smile and laugh. How can you yell at something so cute? And people call them spoiled!

Before we went to my moms house for cake, a tubby was needed! All the structural work they did on the kitchen play set, they needed a good scrub! This was just trouble. Two toddler boys in a tub full of water, bubbles, and various forms of cups! Liam is a water baby and loves it in all forms. He does not mind one bit water going over his head, so at one point in the tub he thought Zak might like a pitcher of water dumped over his head. Liam was very wrong. Zak did not appreciate it, so Liam was forced to splash me and Marla instead! I love watching the boys play together and even better documenting it in photo form. I think it is going to be so great years from now to look back and be able to see that they have been friends hopefully for many years!

MiMi and Liam

Liam loves his Mimi more than anyone!! He is so spoiled by her! Whenever we are at her house, Liam gets all of her attention. Here they are making cookies together! This to me is an awesome photo, because I grew up baking cookies with my gram, and now here is my little boy doing the same!

And this is usually how they end up at the end of the night! Laying on the floor in the living room sound asleep while everyone else steps over them to get around!!

Picasso ........ in Dress Clothes?

There are many people in our family who are full of artistic and musical talent. I am hoping that Liam got some of it, as I have very little! Maybe I am just being a proud mom, and thats ok too. Liam will very rarely pass up the chance to color, paint, or do any sort of artwork! Marla and Zak gave him a painting Wonder Pets book for Christmas. What could be better than Wonder Pets and coloring all in one?!

Our apartment is nothing fancy and it comes equipped with an ugly linoleum kitchen floor, which happens to be perfect for any sort of art activity we can think of! We like to make messes, so when Liam suggested the idea of water coloring in his "dress clothes" as he calls them, I didnt think twice!

So this is probably pure blackmail for the future, but for now it is absolutely adorable! We had such a good time, and Liam painted every page! He loved using every color,so most of the pages just turned out black, but hey it's all in fun!

A New Approach .....

It has become somewhat difficult to continue writing Liam's BLOG as if he was writing it. Not so much difficult, more time consuming. I think I would be able to post more efficiently if I write it. So this is what we will do from now on, unless there is a huge opposition, then by all means yell and I will switch back to Liam "writing" the BLOG himself! :)
