Zak + Liam = TROUBLE!

Liam loves his kitchen set. Zak feels the same admiration for it as well! On this play date however they decided that completely ripping the thing apart would be much more fun than making a simple cup of coffee or frying an egg!

The kitchen set apparently needed some fixing! Or they just wanted to see exactly how it was put together and climbing onto the counter was very necessary! Marla and I were in the kitchen (my kitchen, aka the real kitchen) getting the boys dinner, and when we turned around, this is what we found! They immediately started to smile and laugh. How can you yell at something so cute? And people call them spoiled!

Before we went to my moms house for cake, a tubby was needed! All the structural work they did on the kitchen play set, they needed a good scrub! This was just trouble. Two toddler boys in a tub full of water, bubbles, and various forms of cups! Liam is a water baby and loves it in all forms. He does not mind one bit water going over his head, so at one point in the tub he thought Zak might like a pitcher of water dumped over his head. Liam was very wrong. Zak did not appreciate it, so Liam was forced to splash me and Marla instead! I love watching the boys play together and even better documenting it in photo form. I think it is going to be so great years from now to look back and be able to see that they have been friends hopefully for many years!

MiMi and Liam

Liam loves his Mimi more than anyone!! He is so spoiled by her! Whenever we are at her house, Liam gets all of her attention. Here they are making cookies together! This to me is an awesome photo, because I grew up baking cookies with my gram, and now here is my little boy doing the same!

And this is usually how they end up at the end of the night! Laying on the floor in the living room sound asleep while everyone else steps over them to get around!!

Picasso ........ in Dress Clothes?

There are many people in our family who are full of artistic and musical talent. I am hoping that Liam got some of it, as I have very little! Maybe I am just being a proud mom, and thats ok too. Liam will very rarely pass up the chance to color, paint, or do any sort of artwork! Marla and Zak gave him a painting Wonder Pets book for Christmas. What could be better than Wonder Pets and coloring all in one?!

Our apartment is nothing fancy and it comes equipped with an ugly linoleum kitchen floor, which happens to be perfect for any sort of art activity we can think of! We like to make messes, so when Liam suggested the idea of water coloring in his "dress clothes" as he calls them, I didnt think twice!

So this is probably pure blackmail for the future, but for now it is absolutely adorable! We had such a good time, and Liam painted every page! He loved using every color,so most of the pages just turned out black, but hey it's all in fun!

A New Approach .....

It has become somewhat difficult to continue writing Liam's BLOG as if he was writing it. Not so much difficult, more time consuming. I think I would be able to post more efficiently if I write it. So this is what we will do from now on, unless there is a huge opposition, then by all means yell and I will switch back to Liam "writing" the BLOG himself! :)

Liam, Zak, and the Drumset

Zak is Liam's best friend. They don't really know it yet, but they will be great friends in the future! Zak is the son of one of my good friends Marla. Marla and I have known each other since we were about 10 years old! Zak and Liam are only about 5 months apart. We went to visit on Thursday to exchange some christmas gifts and let the boys play!

I have no idea what they were trying to here with this screw driver type tool, but they were both working together and it made for a cute picture!
Zak's cousin CJ came over to play while Liam and I were there. CJ is 4 and full of energy, Liam loved it!! They were jumping around like crazy animals in Zak's ball pit. Made me a little nervous but Liam was loving it!

Liam and Zak almost never sit next to each other long enough for us to snap a photo, but this time it worked out well. A snack of cheese curls had been served, hence the orange little faces!

Zak has a ton of cool toys, way more than Liam, and Liam takes full advantage of this everytime we visit! This is a keyboard that Zak got for christmas, complete with a hip hop version of "the wheels on the bus"! Liam is drawn to musical instruments and was eager to play with this one!

And then came the drums!!! I think I may have my very own mini version of Travis Barker, all we need is the revival of the mohawk, and a few new tattoos and we will be all set!! This christmas present of Zak's was Liam's favorite. Watching him play it made me want to go right out and buy one with money I don't have!

He started off slow, and then started to really rock out!!

Oooohh yea he so needs a drum set! Look at that cheese!!! He had the time of his love rockin out it was great! Marla and I just stood there watching him smiling!

Christmas

Christmas this year was lots of fun. Santa Claus brought me some very nice things! First it started at MiMi's house on Christmas Eve! MiMi and Uncle Dylan helped me open some of my gifts.

I got ELMO PJs!! What could be better than some nice compfy jammies with elmo on them?!

After opening a few more gifts, MiMi and Pappy helped me uncover a really big present ...... a kitchen!! I was so excited to play with my new kitchen I didnt even say anything, just went in and started cooking away!
Christmas morning I woke up with Mommy at our house. When I woke up Mommy said that Santa Claus had come!! I jumped up out of bed and ran right out to the Christmas tree to see for myself! Santa brought me a choo choo train. Mommy helped me build it and we played with it all morning!
I love music, and under the tree was my very own musical instrument set! I love shaking the moraccas and playing the triangle!! (Notice the background, does it look like my son needs anymore toys?!)

Dress clothes are so much fun and Santa brought me some of those too!! I wanted to wear my new Thomas boots and my dress clothes to MiMi's house.

Christmas Day cooking eggs for MiMi and Pappy in my new kitchen.

I thought Christmas was over, but then on Saturday, Mommy took me down to My Grammy and Pop Pop's house and there Santa had left me more presents. Mommy says I must have been very good this year and am lucky!

My big sister Haley helped me open presents and sat with me the whole time.

On the ride home I was so tired from opening all my presents that I fell asleep!

A few days later, I went to my great MiMi's house and she had some gifts for me, along with her yummy cookies she makes!
I got my first etch-a-sketch and a Hess truck that belonged to my Pop.

Great MiMi helped me learn how to use my etch-a-sketch!

Liam had a wonderful Christmas this year!! It is getting better each year! He had somewhat of an idea of the whole concept and it was great to see him enjoying himself so much! He loved helping with the christmas tree, which to me is like the best part of christmas!! I know he also loved going to visit family, as love and family are the most important parts of christmas, not the presents!! Liam helped me get through our first Christmas without my Pop. It was hard, but with Liam to keep us all busy and on our toes, we made it through! Thank goodness for the babies!!! They give us all a reason to keep smiling! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and a Happy New Year!! Liam loves all his new toys, and we have had to rearrange the whole apartment just to fit some things (the huge deluxe walk-in kitchen ... thanks alot MiMi and Pappy haha!)
